Product Details
With the launch of Phoenix 200 in December 2023, HARMAN kicked off their first ever color negative film, made entirely from emulsion to cassette at the HARMAN technology factory in Mobberley.
HARMAN RED 125 is a limited edition ISO 125 redscale color film, and the next step in HARMAN's journey of creating inspiring color film stocks. Based on the Phoenix 200 emulsion, this redscale film has a clear base, no anti-halation layer, and high red & green sensitivity. These attributes make it the perfect emulsion for a redscale film, ensuring minimal speed loss and transforming mundane scenes into dystopian masterpieces with hues of red, orange, yellow and green.
“Redscale” describes the effect you get when shooting through the back of a color film. By doing this you are exposing your image through the film’s base and the red-sensitive layer first while also significantly reducing the impact of the blue-sensitive layer. When accurately exposed, this typically removes the blue from the image whilst creating almost monochromatic results primarily consisting of reds, oranges and yellows.
