“Valoi” is a Finnish word meaning light and creation — a nod to the creativity of analog photography. The Scandinavian roots of VALOI are visible in the minimalist and functional design. 

The VALOI easy Precision Framing Helicoid is made for both VALOI easy systems (easy35 and easy120), offering 20mm of step-less adjustment to allow for more precise framing. The helicoid screws onto the distance tubes that come with the easy35 and easy120. Add it between your lens and the tubes, adjust, lock, and start scanning.

Step-less Adjustment for Framing

When using the easy35 or easy120 systems, you can typically achieve good framing around the film frame with a combination of the included distance tubes. In some cases, you might find it useful to achieve a tighter crop around the frame to maximize the resolution of the image area, avoid cropping in post processing, or achieve a certain framing for aesthetic purposes. 

The Precision Framing Helicoid gives you lots of flexibility with up to 20mm of smooth, step-less adjustment. Once you have achieved the desired framing, two thumb screws let you lock the helicoid in place, ensuring your frame stays in focus.*
