ADOX Adostab II Wetting Agent 500mL is an image stabilizer and wetting agent for film and paper. Adostab II can be used for 1 minute at the very end of the developing process after thorough fixing and washing; it will create marks and spots on not well fixed/washed images. It is not necessary to rinse the film or paper afterwards.
In addition to its surfactant properties, the stabilizing agents encapsulate the silver grains and make them more stable against UV light and harmful environmental influences. Images treated with Adostab II undergo a slight increase in density, but do not change their color (unlike Selenium toning).
The working strength dilution for both film and paper is 1:19. Usable life of working strength dilution is up to 4 weeks. Bottle contents (500mL) are sufficient to handle up to 350 films or 20 square meters of paper.
Note: Adostab II is not recommended to treat images already archived under unknown conditions. In this case Adostab II may, like any other toner, make already existing degenerative symptoms more visible.
